Welcome to Heart and Play!

Located in Edgemont East, Heart and Play is a nurturing and engaging dayhome that blends play-based learning with educational activities to support children's growth and development. We offer a safe, fun, and structured environment for children aged 2-6 years, as well as before and after-school care for kindergarten and school-age children.

Why Choose Heart and Play?

With over 30 years of experience in childcare—including 12 years as a dayhome provider—I am a Certified Early Childhood Educator with a background in Nursing and child development. I am also a Certified Life Coach and Certified Nursing Aide, ensuring that children receive compassionate care, engaging learning experiences, and a strong foundation for their early years.

Our Learning Approach

At Heart and Play, children explore, discover, and develop key skills through a balanced mix of structured learning and open-ended play. Our daily activities focus on:

🎨 Creative Expression – Engaging in art, sensory play, and hands-on crafts to spark imagination and creativity.
🔢 Early Math & Problem-Solving – Exploring counting, sorting, patterning, and basic number concepts through interactive games and activities.
🖐️ Fine Motor Development – Strengthening small muscles with puzzles, building activities, and hands-on manipulatives to support pre-writing skills.
🎭 Dramatic Play & Social Growth – Encouraging storytelling, role-playing, and group play in a dedicated dramatic play room, where children build confidence and communication skills.

Flexible Care Options

🕢 Full-Time Care: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
🌞 Part-Time Mornings: 7:30 AM – 12:15 AM
🌙 Part-Time Afternoons: 12:15 PM – 5:00 PM
⏳ Flexible Scheduling: Hours may be adjusted based on parents' needs.

Meals & Snacks Provided

🥪 Full-time care: Includes lunch and two snacks.
🍎 Part-time care: Includes one snack  and lunch.
